About the Photographer

Minneapolis and Saint Paul, also known as the Twin Cities, are the sixteenth largest metropolitan area in the United States with several million people. The images contained within my portfolios are from my wide travels and in and around the Twin Cities area of Minnesota where I currently reside as well as other places I have visited.

Minnesota and its surrounding cities hold a vast amount of diversity and beauty in both its natural resources and in its population which I enjoy photographing. Minneapolis is known as America’s most literate city and both it and Saint Paul draw a great number of creative people in the arts.

I attended university in South Dakota where I studied Archeology and Anthropology and both still fascinate me. The wonder and love of them show in my art. I started doing photography in the mid 1980s and have continued in both professional and artistic fields to this day. I have worked in the roles of photographic editor, staff photographer, freelancer, and professional. My work is an artistic and creative release of my ideas and passions combined with a strong knowledge of photography and digital editing techniques to produce visions of beauty. I work hard on making my photos tell a story and be something people want see and use as art, commercial print, or as a special gift.

My studio is in the NE Arts District of Minneapolis at 1330 Quincy St NE, Suite 305. I greatly enjoy working with both new and experienced models and have also had the pleasure of working with some of the metros finest photographers and industry related professionals. It’s been a rewarding and sometimes humbling experience to work with such an outstanding variety of people.
